i’M an iDiot
I’m a total idiot.
Not a partial one, not an occasional one, but a total idiot.
I left my cell phone in the back of a cab in Las Vegas. How does one do that you might ask? Well apparently its easier than it looks on TV. Amber quested me again this morning on why I simply didn’t stick it my pocket or something else, instead of holding it in my hand, and honestly, I’ll never know. But some how between the time I set my stuff down to dig in my pocket to get $$ to pay the cab driver and the time I got to the rental car, I lost my cell.
To make matters worse, it was still set on ‘silent’ because I was coming from Photoshop World.
After two straight hours of calling my phone in the hopes that someone would at least hear the buzzing, I had to face the fact that for the time being, it was gone. And that makes me sad. The crazy thing is that I was honestly only a week or so from buying a new one, but I wanted to dump all my information, cell numbers and photos off it before hand, and then pass it along to the boys to use.
Apparently the cosmos (i.e. God) had other plans.
So, off Michelle and I went (tears in my eyes) to the Apple store to buy a new phone (more tears). While the old has passed away, the new is pretty freaking awesome. I was able (through iTunes) to activate my phone and transfer my old number to it in less than 5 minutes (no joke, not using Bob time or anything fancy). To top things off, I am pretty sure that since I was already and AT&T customer (long live Cingular!), I didn’t have to sign a new agreement or anything.
Now I am in the process of setting up numbers and contacts and what have you (plus as you can see from the pics to the side of this in the MoBlog section, I’ve got the iPhone sending pictures to the blogs without any issues).
So if you were in my phone book, or would like to be in my new phone book, drop me an email with your number so I can add things back to they way they should be.
Tomorrow ends our 10 days in Vegas, so I will post a few pictures and give you a little idea of our adventures (or at least of my screw ups). So until then, stay cool (still 100+
degrees here), and I’ll see you online.

Ok, yeaaaaaah. He “lost” his cell phone right at the time he “was just about to get” another phone, and the iPhone just “happened” to have a price reduction…
In the words of the Church Lady, “How conveeeeeeeeeeeeeenient”.
Have a safe trip back, we’ll see you soon!

Honestly, I had like 100 pictures on the phone and about that many numbers in there, so now I’m totally lost
– I much rather would have waited a week to make the switch.
But I’ve still got your number, so I guess that’s all I really need.
Thanks again for keeping Link and Flash entertained while we are away. See you guys in less than 24 hours.
