A “Harry” Summer

It seems that last summer was the summer of Orson Scott Card. This summer is turning out to be the Summer of Harry… Harry Dresden that is.

Harry Dresden is the lead character in a slew of novels (9 in the bin, number 10 on the way) by author Jim Butcher. To be completely honest with you I am totally digging this series. I was first exposed to Harry Dresden in the SciFi original series The Dresden Files this spring. The show ended (for the season I believe, but you never know – it seems I finally find a good series and some stupid network up and cancels the show) and I was still left wanting more. Online I went and a few days later I had the first book in hand.

While the TV series was good, the books were even better. To top it all off, I now know where the random comment “Fuego” comes from in Real Life Comics from time to time.

My plan is to chew through book 7 & 8 before the other Harry Wizard shows up at my door next week.
