Season Finale

Okay, so I broke down and cheated and now I’m feeling the void.

I held out as long as I could, but I finally succumbed to the temptation and watched the rest of the season finales for Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica.

Through the wonders of the internet, several weeks ago I downloaded the final episodes for all those seasons. Well, this past Friday they finally aired the first part of the season finales for both Stargate’s (Battlestar starts next Friday). I couldn’t take it, so Michelle and busted out the final episodes and watched them

Stargate SG-1 ended nicely enough with no cliff hanger, but Atlantis, wholly crap! And now I have to wait months before I can find out what happened? See I’ve never been in this situation before really. Most of the stuff I watch on TV isn’t an on going series where you’ve invest hours and suddenly you’re left hanging.

However I would have to say that Battlestar’s ending was even worse. Talk about intense.

Now I find myself dreading the coming end of LOST (just a few short episodes away); what’s a TV junkie to do?

Hoping to fill the void that these wonderful shows have left, I’ve started looking for other ones:

Fat Actress – UGH. Dreadful; send me to the dentist without any nova cane and I’d have a better time.

Father of the Pride – The show is cancelled, but I downloaded all the episodes (which make their way to DVD on June 7th I believe) and it was really good. Granted it’s not a kids cartoon and it’s not as much fun to rip on Sigfried and Roy since, well they were torn apart by lions… but other than that its great.

Carnivale – Haven’t seen it yet, but I am gathering episodes to give it watch.

Deadwood – Another one that I’ve heard good things about that will find its way to my computer and/or DVD player soon.

Arrested Development – I’ve seen a few random episodes and would like to see the whole thing in context (I’m funny like that).

Family Guy – Already own it, time to relive the joy.

Futurama – IBID

Thankfully I have board games, Michelle, the boys, and summer to keep be busy until the fall. If you’ve got any suggestions of series that are worth seeing, let me know.

  • Carnivale is well worth watching. I have seen the first season, haven’t had time to watch the second. Justin and his dad got me hooked on it. I watched almost the whole first season in one sitting just because it was so interesting. It is different, one of those you either like it or you don’t. And well I like it! Hope you get a chance to watch it.

  • Well very cool, that makes me more excited.

Hey have you guys been watching lost? (Do you want to?)

  • No we haven’t been watching Lost, but we would like to. :)

  • Well if things work out for Easter I’ll drop them on a DVD for you guys.
