Change Of Plan
There’s been a slight change of plans.
Today we originally planned on attending The Church of the Lamb on Perl Street, but we’ve decided we’re going to pass.
Why you might ask? Well, Michelle and I both looked up the address and realized that it was just a few blocks away from the newspaper, but neither one of us recalled having seen a church building on that side of the street downtown. However, not to be detoured, we decided to drive around and see if we could find it.
First one pass down Perl Street.
Nothing.
Second pass down Perl Street.
Nothing.
Now we know that SOMEWHERE on this street the church meets. So we found the two buildings that we knew the church was supposed to be in between and decided to drive at 2 miles an hour looking.
Sure enough there was a small sign on the side of the building (which was really more of a store front) that read Church of the Lamb.
So yeah, we decided to pass on that one. When a church’s website is larger than their meeting space, we’re looking the wrong place. Now we know why its called Church of the Lamb, because it looks like that is all the building will hold, a lamb (that was Michelle’s funny that I stole). I’m not against a small congregation, but for now, the thought of meeting 20 new people who will want to know all about me isn’t really what I’m looking for.
So there’s been a change of plan and we’ll be looking somewhere else to try out.
I’ve seen Brookside Church several times this past week as I drive down Maplecrest so I think we are going to check that one out next week.

Regarding your visit to our humble facility: While our church is small, we weigh in at 200 people, not 20. We are a growing church, healthy and strong. We admit that the building isn’t much to look at but that will be changing soon. We are in the process of purchasing a larger facility near the airport. I would encourage you to check us out. While our website (www.churchofthelamb.com) has lots of information about us, you have to come and see for yourself. The worship and the sermons — all we do — are content-driven. We are friendly, but not pushy…or nosey.
