I’ve never really been a fan of pea soup.
I’m even less of a fan of fog that’s as thick as pea soup.
All through out the week we’ve had fog delays and cancellations (for schools). Most of the time it doesn’t really effect me because of the time of day I drive, but man, today (Saturday) was horrible.
For all of you who are Fort Wayne natives (or have at least been around the city), I’ll give you a few examples. While driving into work I couldn’t see the Wallgreens on the corner of Clinton and St. Joe Center road.
It was freaky. I keep thinking, “I know there is a stop light up here somewhere. I know it.” And then WHAM-O, it’s right in front of you. To make things extra scary (though maybe it was a good thing), but there were no other drivers around; as a result you had no markers in front of you of what might be ahead. Break lights in front of me would have been a great thing.
I was hoping that by the time I left work that things would get better, but in fact I think they got worse. It was so bad on the way home I could not see the Coliseum while I was driving down Parnel right next to it!
I will never again complain when there is a delay due to fog for my kids.
Wow, crazy stuff.
