Lite Gray
I’m in an odd mood today.
I’m not quite sure how I feel. I feel a little bloated I think; maybe I’m getting PMSy.
It’s like I’m a little pissed off, but I don’t really know at who or what. Maybe I’m just tired; stretched thin.
I have no idea why I feel this way today, yesterday was a pretty good day. My sister April called me and we chatted awhile. We shared found memories of “The Underwear Tree”, The Gunthers, the Baptist neighbors next door, playing in the sand hole behind the house. We talked of John Waltz, his dog Ruby and a hundred other random childhood events that you had long forgotten about.
It’s always amazing to me to see how as kids we all remember different things (and sometimes we often remember the same thing differently). You never know what things are going to stick with someone for the rest of their lives and how its going to mold them.
I remember the year that my mother made 99% of all our Christmas gifts. I think that was the year that she made our quilts (I still have mine somewhere). I remember the robot that she and my dad made from cans, and the army tents she made for my army guys.
– Funny story. So one day I was home stick from school and my mom had to go off to work. While she was gone, I took several hundred little green army men and put them ALL over the house. I mean in vents, on shelves, behind chair legs, you name it. All pointed like they were shooting at the looker. FREAKED my mom right out. For years we’d still find a random army guy now and then. Good times –
I recall the Yoda my mom made. That was probably the best Christmas I ever had. I can still remember the whole thing.
So it was nice to catch up with April yesterday.
Bobby Rothrock stopped by later in the evening (*insert shameless plug for Computer Renaissance*). He gave me his old school Philips TiVo that he hacked with Lunix on it and we finished setting things up.
It’s amazing how this thing works. You TiVo your show, download it to your computer, has a sweet program to cut out commercials, click encode and BAMO! You’ve either got an .mpg or DVD ready file to watch and burn. So that was awesome.
I placed a quick order to BoulderGames.com yesterday and that will be hear on Monday, so that should be good as well. And to top it all off, I found Warlords II (“Greeting’s Warlord”) for the Pocket PC.
So with all that goodness yesterday I have no idea what’s up with me?
That all having been said, I feel a little brighter having recalled my day; I think I’m in one of those moods where nothing’s really wrong, your brain just has to be reminded that everything’s okay. Oh, and this chocolate milk sure helps.
So any who, thanks for listening.

Chocolate Milk always helps, unless your best friend falls off the swing and dumps it in your hair!
I feel better after I talk with someone on the phone and whine and complain…
Hey, I didn’t whine
