I’m not much for the after-Thanksgiving day shopping stuff. I think those of you who do it frankly are nuts. I have to get up every morning for my job at 3:00 am, but if I’m not working, there is no way I am crawling out of bed at that time. I do it because I have to. Why would you do it willingly? I guess I will never understand.

That having been said, I will indeed be venturing out into the cold cruel world today to pick a few things up:

1) A nice new black dual-layer DVD burner. Mmmm… DVD burning goodness, this little bad boy will do dual-layer DVDs, DVD+R’s and DVD-R’s (which they had a great deal at Best Buy a few weeks ago where you could get 50 for $20.00). So how much is this little wonderful piece of technology going to cost me? Less than $90.00. Yeah is that insane? My friends Bobby & Stephanie own Computer Renaissance on E. Coliseum and they are practically giving this away today. So if you are in the Fort Wayne area, and you even remotely want to burn or back up DVD’s, you need to make the trip out there today and pick one of these bad dogs up.

2) I got a new toy this week. Yeah, I know I am so bad. I probably don’t even need it, but my techno-gremlin that lives inside of me won out and I got a new iPAQ (an HP rx3115) and I want to get a screen protector for it and a new case. This thing is a ton of fun. I put pictures of Michelle and the boys on it and I was hooked. But if you are going to have one, you’ve got to keep it safe, so I am going to brave Best Buy today and see if I cannot find something for it.

After that, I’m locking myself inside the house. The boys are coming to stay the weekend so we have a lot of fun things planned for that, shopping is not one of them. Oh, last thing on that. I am looking for a good price on a Chemistry set (Dafyd) and a mini-keyboard around the $40.00 range (Jace – I could spend $100 on one, but he’s still 6 and at some point it will be abused, so it needs to be that cross between something he can learn on, but still a toy).
