I see London, I see France

Taking a moment to depart for my normal gloom, doom, death and destruction motif I’ve been on since last Friday, I have some exciting news to share.

Lord (and money) willing, Michelle and I will be heading off across the pond next May.

I’ve signed our names on the dotted line to spend two weeks in Europe with the University of Saint Francis in 2005 (it was a last minute happening so I had to forge her name on the application). We’ll be heading off to London for several days, taking a train through the Chunnel over to Paris where we’ll stay for a few more days, and lastly we’ll take a train from Paris over to Madrid and Toledo (not Ohio) and then fly back to “The States”.

To say the least we’re pretty excited.

I’m not much of a world traveler really. I’ve been to Canada (but who hasn’t), the Yucatan, and Haiti, but I think the farthest east I’ve been is Long Island. I kept asking myself, “When in my life time will I get the chance to go to Europe, and for this price?” So look out world, here I come.

Thankfully we;re not going alone. I’ve been able to talk my buddies Joel & Jarrod into going, it took some arm twisting but they are coming along. It will be nice to share something like that with close friends and to have familiar faces in a strange place.

But yeah, I get to go Europe, “That’s where history comes from.”
