Last Train to Clarksville
Last Train to Clarksville – The Monkeys
Take the last train to Clarksville and I’ll meet you at the station.
You can be here by 4:30 cause I’ve made your reservation, don’t be slow.
Oh, no, no, no, oh, no, no, no.
Cause I’m leaving in the morning and I must see you again.
We’ll have one more night together till the morning brings my train and I must go.
Oh, no, no, no, oh, no, no, no. And I don’t know if I’m ever coming home.
Take the last train to Clarksville, I’ll be waiting at the station.
We’ll have time for coffee-flavored kisses and a bit of conversation, oh.
Oh, no, no, no, oh, no, no, no.
Take the last train to Clarksville, now I must hang up the phone.
I can’t hear you in this noisy railroad station, all alone, I’m feeling low.
Oh, no, no, no, oh, no, no, no. And I don’t know if I’m ever coming home.
Take the last train to Clarksville and I’ll meet you at the station.
You can be here by 4:30 cause I’ve made your reservation, don’t be slow.
Oh, no, no, no, oh, no, no, no. And I don’t know if I’m ever coming home.
Take the last train to Clarksville, take the last train to Clarksville…
Well it’s Monday; time for another exciting fun filled week.
I’ve got a pile of work staring at me and I hope I can get to the top of it by Wednesday. Andrew-Peterson.com is getting a face lift as soon as I can get it done for his upcoming CD: Andrew Peterson Presents: Behold the Lamb which is an amazing Christmas CD that tells the Christmas story starting back in the Old Testament. I’ve got a rough draft of one of the pages if anyone cares to see it (www.andrew-peterson.com/new). Each page will have that hand crafted feel to it, I just have to find time to finish it.
Normally it wouldn’t be a such a big deal, but with school back in session, soccer games on the weekend, and this week is the big IDEAL event (the IDEAL project is what I work on at the University when I’m not doing campus computing stuff) down in Clarksville, IN (September 23 – 24) that I’ve been getting ready for over the past three weeks, I’ve fallen pretty far behind. It’s easy to get overwhelmed.
As a side note if anyone lives in the Clarksville, IN or Louisville, KY area, let me know. I’m looking for things to occupy my time while I am down there and I am always open to suggestions.
I finally caught up on my CSI watching last night. I finally dropped my season pass to Law and Order on TNT because I had seen every episode at least a dozen times. Turns out I was just in time for Spike TV to start running CSI which I’ve always wanted to see. Lucky me they started with a 5 day 24 hour marathon and I had 60 episodes to watch. So instead of working on Andrew’s site, I took a break yesterday, watched the Lions win (rock on!) and then finished up the last few episodes of CSI.
My next project is to watch the first season of Star Gate SG1 that my buddy Jon Adam loaned to me (again, another series I’ve wanted to see for a while, after that I’ll start the Sopranos).
Oh, I also accidentally invented a new high fiber product called Graham Crappers, but that’s what I get for speaking with my mouth full.
Somewhere in all of that, I’d like to play some more board games, catch a few movies, and take a nap. But it’s all good it keeps me busy.
So here’s to this week (yours and mine), may it be filled with fun adventures, exciting trips, and moments that you can share on your blog.

I like the ap sample page-did you create all the pieces yourself or is some of it from the actual cd artwork? I like the handmade feel to it.
I didn’t create all the pieces, only some. When you get andrew’s new CD, you’ll be able to tell what I added, and what the artist who created the originals used.
Sometimes it’s amazing we’re able to get any of this silly work done, with all the important TV we have still to watch. (setting the VCR for “Lost” tomorrow night)
Ooh, Tom, can I borrow it when you’re done?
Sorry about that Tom, that was me.
