A little bit of this and that . . .

So another Monday.

Well another Monday for you folks out there; the normal guys who have days off and weekends and holidays…
For me, it’s just another day. Somewhere I feel like I lost track of the days. Those you who aren’t in the know,
which is pretty much the entire world (and I generally like it that way – private guy that I am), I work two full
time jobs. Both as a “Web Guy”. One that runs from 3 to 9, Wed – Friday and 3 to 11 Saturday & Sunday, and another
that’s 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, which makes for a Monday through Sunday schedule. I started this in January at
which time I worked 100 days straight before I took a day off.

It’s gotten a little better since then, I had some hours I had to use at the 2nd job before the end of the June
(use them or loose them) so I have some mini-vactions this month (toss in some half day Fridays) and thing’s are starting
to slow down a bit. But in the end it’s all good. The biggest problem is that I feel like I have lost touch with
all the things I used to enjoy doing. It’s been a coon’s age since I’ve really gone to the movies, almost as long since
I’ve enjoyed some good board gaming (man do I miss board gaming).

I’ve been thinking alot about all of these things lately. This month I turn 30. Yeah, the big three-oh. I had good intentions
of fasting for the entire month, but sometime we bite off more than we can chew. I was hoping to get in touch with a buddy
of mine who used to fast every year for Lent to see how he did it, but alas, too little, too late. The good news is that I
made it a few days before I decided to call it quits (as opposed to those times where I’d fast for a few hours). But through
it all I kept asking myself, “To what end?”

To what end? Maybe I explore this a bit more later, it’s all still fresh in my mind.

So, hey, about about those Pistons huh? Oh, and what in the world, Ronald Reagan died this past weekend. He is the first
president that I can remember (I would have been 6 when he took office), so I was really bummed when I read that. Let’s see, what
else? Oh yeah, the boy-os and I finally got out to go see Shrek 2. It was a lot of fun. Dafyd just laughed up a storm (oh, should
you want or desire to keep track of my kids, they have their own web sites: www.dafyd.com and www.jacerobert.com – see, tangible proof
I’m a good dad [I keep telling myself that anyways]).

Today was their last day in school for the summer, so they are pretty excited to be out (Dafyd more so than Jace, Jace is my little
nerd – just finished Kindergarten and is already reading at a 2nd grade level. Dayfd on the other hand hates schoool – a lot of
different reasons really, part of is it his Aspergers, part of it he had a bad experience with is kindergaten teacher, and part of
it is just Dafyd, but God has blessed me with both little guys and I wouldn’t change them for anything in the whole world). Wednesday
Dafyd turns 8. Wow, tim really files sometimes huh? We’re going to go see Harry Potter so he’s pretty pumped about that.

Well, that’s about all I’ve got in me for now. Have a good one.
